JOSEPHINE METTE LARSEN

Born 1994 in Columbus, Ohio, USA.

My name is Josephine Mette Larsen, I am a Danish-American ceramic artist. I started my journey in ceramics in 2012 when I decided to move to the country of my heritage, Denmark, in order to pursue a Bachelor of Art in Design at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Art (2013-2016). Denmark has undoubtedly shaped and influenced who I am as an artist today due to its long history of design and craft of a high quality. I am grateful for being trained with a strong sense of craftsmanship in the forefront of my education as this aspect is an integral part of my artistic identity, today. I have great respect and appreciation for the individuality of people, cultures and perspectives. In conjunction with this, a positive outlook on life. You will rarely find me without a smile. I am a firm believer of doing what you love everyday being the key to happiness.
